Readers really do rule!
Whether you read on Kindle, Nook, Sony, or even dead tree books  if you enjoyed the title you just read, please take a moment and leave a review on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or Goodreads. Here's a whole article on why reviews have so much power and how to leave one without giving yourself a headache.
In this brave new world of publishing, readers rule more than ever. Make other readers happy, go review the last couple of books you read.
How seriously do you take other reader's reviews?

Very seriously if they say I'm wonderful. Not so seriously otherwise. LOL - Only joking.
Each review is just that person's opinion. I've thought books were crap that others thought were great and vice versa.
We all like different things so I'm very wary of reading too much into a review. If I see Amazon scores of say - 50 5 stars and 50 1 star - what am I to think? You can't please everyone. I've had complaints of too much sex in my books - er why buy an erotic romance then? A complaint that they were too British. A bit tricky for me as I am British and largely set the stories in the UK.
Smile and move on.
Not to say I don't review books - I do, but rarely in the genre in which I write. That seems like asking for trouble to me.
You're a wise woman, Barbara. And you're right judging fiction is subjective. But when I'm browsing for a new title I look at reviews before making my selection. :)
Readers do rule indeed lol!
I do take other readers reviews seriously of course, but I think books are very personal things - what one person may hate, I may love and vice versa, so I will always check a book out for myself before passing judgement. Interesting post!
Please visit me on my blog sometime!

Thanks for stopping Stephanie! You're so right, what could be more individual than literary preferences? Yet I'm fascinated by readers' reviews. :)
