The Flavor of Summer now available!

There is something quite wonderful about e-publishing that I'd never considered before my first book was published -- the instant release factor.

At around midnight on your release date, like magic, you hit the refresh button and there's your new book, for all the world to see.

Last night I stayed up late to wait for that moment. The kids were asleep; my husband was still at work. The bad cat was out roaming the streets, and the good cat was snuggled up with my daughter. Just me, sitting in the dark, playing Freecell and tapping the refresh button ... and then, finally, there it was!

I don't think I'm ever going to get tired of this particular thrill -- even if it does mean I stagger around my Clark Kent job all the next day. It's absolutely worth it.
