The most wonderful time of the year

I'm a fall fan. It is without a doubt my favorite time of year.

I love when the air turns crisp and cool. I've always liked fall fashions better than summer wear so love pulling out my jeans, my jackets, long sleeved shirts. Anyone else love to find money in the pocket of a jacket you haven't worn since last winter? LOL.

I love when the leaves begin to turn beautiful colors. It always seems like one day they are green and the next day there is this lovely mix of reds, yellows, oranges. My favorite trees are the ones that turn partially red and are partially green.

The holidays that come with fall are my favorites. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas. Hee I have a birthday in there, too. My grandmother's and aunt's birthday were right around mine. Now I have a great-niece with a birthday around mine too. We always hand out huge amounts of candy at Halloween and delight in carving our pumpkins with new designs every year. I'm a huge decorator for Christmas. I love lots of lights and beautiful trees *dreamy sigh*. I'm also a huge fan of the Christmas specials. From Peanuts to the Grinch to the Muppets to Rudolph, I watched them each and every year. Don't get me started on Christmas music...

Some of my fondest Thanksgiving memories were watching the Macy's Parade while I helped my mom get ready. She always made homemade stuffing so would have tons of bread in the toaster. The scent of toast always takes me back there.

Early October of 2005 also saw my very first release, Blood Kiss from Loose Id. It wasn't even Blood Lines: Blood Kiss. I didn't know it was going to be a series then. It's no surprise to me that my first release was in my favorite time of year. Fall has been a very good time again this year for me. I just saw the release of Settler's Mine 6: The Rogue in print (technically it was summer but it was in September so close enough!) and Taming the Fire will hopefully release in early November.

Yep, bring on the fall!
