Congratulations to my fellow authors having releases this week. I see a couple books (okay...all of them) that are going on my buy list. Did you know Loose Id also has a wish list feature? It's great. See a book you want, put it on the wish list to buy at your leisure. I love it!
Anyway, I have a new release this week as well -- a short but scorching hot story called HAVE MERCY.
Here's a little bit about it:
Past relationship disasters have made Mercedes Suazo damned scared to date. This time she's playing for keeps. She's playing for Ike Campbell, and he's going to know upfront she plays hard.
Have mercy? Ike intends to do just that...over and over again.
And Mercy will have him right back. Because this lady gives as good as she gets.

Have Mercy was born after a call for submissions from Loose Id last fall. They were looking for stories which contained certain elements for their holiday Festival of Lights releases. In less time than it took to read the email, Have Mercy came to life. And though it wasn't accepted for the Festival of Lights, Loose Id liked the concept so much, they asked for it to be a Valentine's Day story. It was a fun, fast-paced story to write. And, yes, all the elements requested are in there: bdsm, menage, multicultural, m/m. In fact, the menage is m/f/m/m.
The challenge with the story was showing the love and emotion between the couple while introducing those other elements. Mercy and Ike have been absorbed with work since the day they met. Now that the crunch period is over, each decides it's time to make a move. Once they take that step, nothing stands in their way. Not even a crowded dance floor. They are a great match for each other intellectually and physically. And did I say "scorching hot"? :)
